Many of our clients are expatriate families from all over the world whose children are attending an international school in the area. (Help with learning English as an additional language (EAL) is one of our specialities.) At the same time we also help students to maintain their mother tongue so they can continue their studies in their home countries without difficulty.
We have strong links with the international schools in Zurich and further afield in other parts of Switzerland, Europe and beyond.
We tailor our services carefully to the needs of each person who comes to us, after conducting a thorough assessment of their status and setting targets to be achieved. Sometimes this is as simple as arranging tuition in calculus for a maths exam, but it may also be as complex as diagnosing an autism spectrum disorder and developing comprehensive educational and life skill strategies to address it.
An important part of our work is examining learning profiles by means of research-based academic and psychological assessments. This is the starting point for helping students, their parents and their teachers to understand how to tailor the child’s education and environment, ensuring the academic success and happiness that they are capable of achieving.
From pre-schoolers to post-graduates, we understand the frustrations that come from being behind or even far ahead of one’s classmates and the things that happen to disrupt academic progress, from moving to a new country, to learning disorders, emotional upsets or the challenges of a different curriculum.
