I joined the Board of Foundations for Learning because of my firmly believe that learning is key to happiness and success. Learning difficulties and a lack of support in overcoming them, prevent students from reaching their full potential and have a negative impact on their self-esteem. By devoting my time and energy to FFL, I am helping to provide precisely this kind of professional support.

I joined Foundations for Learning because its mission reflects my belief that every child should have the opportunity to reach their full potential. Having personally experienced learning challenges, I value the foundation’s commitment to individualized support and lasting student confidence. I am proud to support a team that tailors its programs to each student’s individual needs, safeguarding both their confidence and their long-term success.

I joined Foundations for Learning as a board member because I deeply believe that every child deserves a fair chance to learn, no matter their circumstances. The Foundation’s commitment to empowering learners, families, and educators strongly aligns with my values and my personal dedication to inclusive, compassionate education that meets learners where they are.

I joined the FFL board because my family knows exactly how important it is to give a child with learning disabilities professional support. They have to struggle with so much that is difficult for others to understand. All children deserve access to the training and tools they need to be self-confident and able to compete to the best of their abilities.

There is only one things that no one can take away from you and that is education. I am a strong believer that education and inspiring the desire to learn is what makes the world a better place. FFL was founded and continues to live its purpose to provide extra help to school age children (and support their parents) to unlock their learning potential and confidence at times when its needed. This is the reason I joined the Board all those years ago and remain equally committed as it grows and evolves. 

As a neurodivergent person myself, this mission is deeply personal to me. I know how powerful it can be when a child’s differences are met with understanding rather than judgment. I joined the board because I believe our foundation can help children with learning difficulties feel supported not only academically, but emotionally as well. My motivation is simple: to contribute to a future where neuro-different children are seen for their strengths, given the tools they need, and reminded that they are not alone.

Ich bin dem Vorstand der Stiftungen für das Lernen beigetreten, weil ich sowohl in meinem beruflichen, als auch in meinem privaten Umfeld erleben musste, wie oft gut begabte Kinder mit spezifischen Lernbeeinträchtigungen missverständen und übersehen werden. Dabei können diese Kinder mit der passenden Unterstützung und fachlich korrekter Förderung eine hervorragende berufliche Laufbahn beschreiten, ohne eine passende Förderung aber haben aber sie oft wenige Chancen. Ich engagiere mich in der Stiftung, damit möglichst viele englischsprachige und deutschsprachige Kinder diese Unterstützung und Förderung erhalten.
