In 2025 the Foundation celebrates its 15th anniversary. To further build the foundation and secure its success for the coming years, we are looking for one experienced and innovative Speech and Language Therapist to join our team of highly professional speech and language therapists in Zürich, Zug and/or Luzern. The primary language of intervention will be English. 

You will be responsible for your own caseload, working across different locations, such as local Swiss Public Schools, International Schools or in children’s homes. Many of our children have been exposed to multiple languages, and experience of assessing and treating children who speak English as an additional language will be essential. 

Duties:

  • Carrying out formal and qualitative assessments of children aged 2 to 19 years of age, for the purposes of differential diagnosis and review of progress 
  • Delivering 1:1 and group therapy sessions face to face or teletherapy sessions at our offices, schools, nurseries or in family homes 
  • Delivering parent and teacher workshops
  • Delivering whole school screenings of students to ascertain whether further in depth assessment is needed 
  • Establishing close links and collaborative relationships with teaching staff and parents in order to promote inclusive practices
  • Getting involved in promotional activities, such as attending Summer Fayres, Christmas Aperos and Boat Tours to promote the Foundation

  • Accident insurance (if you work more than 8 hours/week)
  • Invoicing of families on behalf of the therapist

     

Essential Requirements:

  • Existing Swiss Residency permit with permission to work in Switzerland (e.g. B or C permit), or EU passport holder with ability to obtain Swiss Residency
  • Native English speaker or high level of proficiency with written and spoken English communication required
  • 2-3 years prior experience working as a Speech & Language Therapist with a paediatric caseload
  • Current professional registration to practice within your home country 
  • Registration with a professional governing body for Healthcare Professionals and/or Speech & Language Therapists (e.g. ASHA, RCSLT, SPA)
  • Experience assessing and providing intervention for children from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, and children who speak multiple languages
  • Willingness to travel to different locations and/or schools or offices, for example in the wider Zürich/Zug/Luzern area

 

Preferred Requirements:

  • Knowledge of and/or fluency in a language other than English
  • Experience working in a school setting (mainstream or specialist) 
  • Knowledge of or experience with International School Curriculums 
  • Availability for afternoon and evening appointments, if necessary
