Drama Activities

Drama develops communication skills. Through drama activities children and teenagers learn how to use their face, voice and body movements to get a message across to any audience, whether it be on stage, or with a group of friends.

Most youngsters will benefit from participating in drama activities and our aim at Foundations for Learning is to provide extra support, through drama, to learning the techniques essential for successful conversation. Our drama activities are aimed at developing an understanding of "small talk" and the rules of "unspoken" communication in a non-threatening, safe space.

We aim to put on a class performance at the end of each term.

Our classes begin on Saturday 22nd September and are taught in English.

We are happy to offer a free taster workshop.

Drama Club

Saturdays 1 - 3pm, for children aged 8 to 13.

Our drama club uses fun role-plays, improvisations and games to help children develop their social and communication skills. Our multisensory, kinaesthetic activities encourage physical and social confidence through imaginative play.

Cost per 2 hour workshop: CHF50

Advanced Drama Club

Saturdays 3.30pm - 4.30pm, for youngsters aged 14 to 18.

Our advanced drama club uses methods for more mature learners to improve both conversation skills and study classical acting skills. As well as developing improvisation skills and confidence in general conversation, our small class examines classic dramatic techniques such as Stanislavski’s ‘method’ approach and Brecht’s deliberate ‘alienation’ of the audience.

Cost per 1 hour workshop: CHF30

Individual Lessons

One-to-one lessons in delivering speeches, voice projection and conversation skills are also available for all ages.
