Writer's Workshop 10th - 14th August led by April Remfrey
This workshop is to help students get their writing skills improved and ready for the start of a new year back at school.
Grades 7 to 9 will meet in the mornings 9:00 to 12:00 and grades10 to 12 will meet 13:00 until 16:00
Students will be taught to use a research-based writing method called "Step Up to Writing".
The younger students will learn to write complex topic sentences, a color coded method of creating a clear and easy to follow writing structure, and they will learn how to fill their writing with relevant details and facts.
The older students will learn this same process and then expand on this by learning how to stretch their writing into a complex multiple page essay.
